POVERTY IS THE CAUSE OF RISING DEATHS IN IMO – OHAKIM

Former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim has lamented over the number of deaths in the state, saying mortuaries are enjoying an avoidable boom.
He made the remarks in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Collins Ughala in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Ohakim said that from the avalanche of persons seeking to govern the State in 2019, he is most experienced to rebuild the State.
According to him, the increased level of poverty and comatose health sector both contribute to the increased number of deaths in the state.
Speaking on plans to unfold his governorship bid ahead the 2019 general elections; Ohakim said Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano are better during their second return because they garnered better knowledge and experience, saying he has gathered same.
Ohakim reminded Imo people the risk inherent in gambling with new faces,  noting the barrage of issues the state has to grapple with.
